Installed at Strangefeld gallery, Glasgow as apart of the Return to Sender exhibition.
The prints are appropriated archive documents from the ‘Feminist art era’ of the 70s. The erasure being an attempt to find fluctuations between past and present, and move beyond the Essentialist/Theory debate that’s underpinned in the documents. The intention is to tackle the constant question of how we work with and against an existing system that determines our portrayal and perception, without reinforcing the patriarchy.

Artist statement
My practice is inspired by the intersections between feminism, archives, and semiotics, which I translate into visual art through auto-destructive installations, printmaking, and books. Works are often contextualised against archives, oral histories, and statements I’ve collected on the experience of objectification. The intention being, to tackle the constant question of how to work with and against existing systems that determine our portrayal and perception without reinforcing the patriarchy.
